Kennel Tech
Gause Boulevard Veterinary Hospital is currently seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team! Are you passionate about your commitment to delivering exceptional service to our loyal clientele and the highest quality care to their boarded and hospitalized pets? If so, this opportunity is for you!
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure the upkeep of the kennels and the facility throughout the day
- Ensure all laundry is completed throughout the day
- Ensure all Dogs are walked multiple times throughout the day, along with any additional play times required
- Feed and provide clean water to patients/boarders twice daily
- Maintain accurate elimination/feeding records, along with any illness/injury occurrence while patients are here
- Bathe, nail trims, ear cleaning and anal glands for all pets requesting bathing.
- Notate tasks completed on list provided
- Assist Veterinary Technicians and Doctors as needed

Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a kennel setting is preferred
- At least 1 year providing top notch customer service
- Truly superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to meet the need of the person you are communicating with
- Ability to restrain 50-60 lbs.
- Must be tech savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly

Compensation & Benefits
We are searching for a great part-time candidate and offer competitive pay accordingly, the starting hourly wage for this position is $9/hr. and is dependent upon experience.
Hours & Availability
- Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
- Weekends and Holidays
- Cover Vacation

Job Description:
Are you an experienced Veterinary Technician/Assistant in search of a position in a highly supportive environment with a positive culture? Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of hands on experience previously working as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant
- The desire to perform a multitude of veterinary technician tasks including blood draws, catheter placement, obtaining urine/stool samples, surgical preparation and assistance and MORE!
- Surgical experience is a plus as we regularly perform routine soft tissue surgery and dental cleanings.
- A learning mindset as it is never to late to learn new skills or to improve the ones you already have.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of organization.
- A positive, friendly demeanor is a MUST!
Compensation and Benefits:
We are searching for a great candidate and offer competitive pay accordingly, the starting hourly wage is 12.00 and is dependent upon experience. Other amazing benefits include:

What You’ll Do
- Provide exceptional client service in person and over the phone
- Manage a busy front desk, including scheduling and answering calls
- Assist with patient triage and client communication
- Support veterinarians in exam rooms and treatment areas
- Collaborate with the team and cross-train in other areas of the practice
Qualifications
- Strong customer service experience in a professional setting
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- A genuine love for animals and their well-being
- Interest in the veterinary field and willingness to learn
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Confidence, professionalism, and a willingness to grow
