We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team! We are a busy veterinary practice that takes pride in providing high-quality medicine while creating a supportive, enjoyable environment for both our team and our clients.
Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys practicing good medicine, building relationships with clients, and working alongside a strong support team. We see dogs, cats, and exotic pets, so there is an opportunity to work with a variety of cases and continue growing your skills.
What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive wellness and medical care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets
- Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
- Perform routine surgeries, including spays and neuters, as well as more advanced surgical procedures based on your experience and interests
- Provide dentistry and dental care
- Perform routine and emergency procedures and provide critical care when needed
- Develop individualized treatment plans and communicate recommendations clearly to clients
- Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, diagnostics, and treatment options
- Safely handle and restrain patients
- Utilize appropriate anesthesia protocols and monitor patients during procedures
- Collect samples and utilize laboratory diagnostics to aid in patient care
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Work closely with our veterinary technicians and support team to provide excellent patient care
- Continue developing your skills and knowledge across areas of veterinary medicine that interest you
What We’re Looking For
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Louisiana
- Strong interest in providing high-quality, compassionate patient care
- Comfortable with general medicine and surgery
- Good communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Commitment to continued learning and professional growth
- Experience with exotic pets is a plus, but not required

Kennel Technician Part Time
Gause Boulevard Veterinary Hospital is currently seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team! Are you passionate about your commitment to delivering exceptional service to our loyal clientele and the highest quality care to their boarded and hospitalized pets? If so, this opportunity is for you!
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure the upkeep of the kennels and the facility throughout the day
- Ensure all laundry is completed throughout the dayEnsure all Dogs are walked multiple times throughout the day, along with any additional play times required
- Feed and provide clean water to patients/boarders twice daily
- Maintain accurate elimination/feeding records, along with any illness/injury occurrence while patients are here
- Bathe, nail trims, ear cleaning and anal glands for all pets requesting bathing.
- Notate tasks completed on list provided
- Assist Veterinary Technicians and Doctors as needed

Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a kennel setting is preferred
- At least 1 year providing top notch customer service
- Truly superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to meet the need of the person you are communicating with
- Ability to restrain 50-60 lbs.
- The ability to effectively prioritize and meet multiple request at one time
- Must be tech savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly

Compensation &n Benefits
We are searching for a great part-time candidate and offer competitive pay accordingly, the starting hourly wage for this position is $9/hr. and is dependent upon experience.
Hours & Availability
- Tuesday and Thursdays 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
- Weekends and Holidays
- Cover Vacation
