We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team! We are a busy veterinary practice that takes pride in providing high-quality medicine while creating a supportive, enjoyable environment for both our team and our clients.

Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys practicing good medicine, building relationships with clients, and working alongside a strong support team. We see dogs, cats, and exotic pets, so there is an opportunity to work with a variety of cases and continue growing your skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive wellness and medical care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
  • Perform routine surgeries, including spays and neuters, as well as more advanced surgical procedures based on your experience and interests
  • Provide dentistry and dental care
  • Perform routine and emergency procedures and provide critical care when needed
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and communicate recommendations clearly to clients
  • Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, diagnostics, and treatment options
  • Safely handle and restrain patients
  • Utilize appropriate anesthesia protocols and monitor patients during procedures
  • Collect samples and utilize laboratory diagnostics to aid in patient care
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
  • Work closely with our veterinary technicians and support team to provide excellent patient care
  • Continue developing your skills and knowledge across areas of veterinary medicine that interest you

What We’re Looking For

  • DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
  • Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Louisiana
  • Strong interest in providing high-quality, compassionate patient care
  • Comfortable with general medicine and surgery
  • Good communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Commitment to continued learning and professional growth
  • Experience with exotic pets is a plus, but not required
